In Germany there is a wide network of organisations working with migrants and refugees. These are active on national level and also on the local level in each federal state.
The main state institution focusing on the topic of migration and refugees is Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtling (BAMF) in Berlin. On the website http://www.bamf.de you can find information regarding asylum, status, school education, working permit etc. Many of the organisations on state level have got their regional offices in the federal states and can give you the necessary contact information. Due to different juridical and legal systems in every federal state of Germany, there are organisations and lawyers operating only on regional level or only on national level. Each federal state has their own organisations and experts since every federal state has different legal approaches to migration or refugees.

most of the organisations have their own pool of translators for different languages (often also dialects) and will contact them if necessary. Even smaller cities or districts have volunteer organisations called f.e. Circle of friends Asylum (Freundeskreis Asyl) who can help with translation of documents or appointments.
